Profile of
individuals:
o
Lead singer/guitarist: Henry
Belcher is the experienced lead
singer (having been in a band previously in his younger years, however that
was influenced by his parents and was not his true passion) and founder of the
featured rock band “Breaking Blasphemy”. He is a rugged, attractive young man and
has a very individual fashion sense which he seems to suit despite its
boldness; the majority of his aura is fairly dark, sharp and commanding and as
such he is considered the leader of the group (he was the founder anyway) thus
he has a strong influence of the groups ‘style’ and ‘impression’. He is a very
spontaneous person and as such has a strong influence on his fans as they are captivated
by the question of ‘what could he do next?’ Despite this impression of a
somewhat moody teenager he is a light-hearted, humorous and approachable person
in reality which the fans react to very well. In his spare time, outside of
school (in which he is performing at a slightly above average level in several
practical and academic subjects; from geography to Design Technology to
graphics work), work (Henry has had a part time job in his local pub “The Kings
Inn” for a year and a half) and band practise he exercises his guitar in his
downtime and socialises with his closer friends whenever he gets the
chance.
o Backup vocalist/ bass guitarist: Miles Rudgley has the role of bass guitarist, for the most part, yet he can also give backup
vocals when required as he has both the least challenging instrumental part and
second best voice to offer. He has been playing bass for 4 years and so is at a
reasonably high level of skill in the area. He is closest to lead singer Henry as the co-founder of the band (Mark and Oscar were introduced to the band later) as they have known each
other for 4 years, since they first met in year 8 at a house music competition.
Miles is academically gifted and spends a small part of time doing
extracurricular activities however he balances this with his spare time and
‘band time’. Miles has a fairly expensive fashion sense which has been funded
by his wealthy parents from a young age, this isn’t to say he wears designer
labels but his apparel tends to be slightly more exuberant and well made; he
shares a similar fashion sense to Henry
in that sense and so additionally has an influence on the bands house
style.
o
Lead guitarist: Oscar Robinson is Breaking Blasphemy’s
guitarist with his skill with both electric and acoustic guitar. He also plays
piano and drums however he mainly focusses on guitar. He was first spotted by
the Henry and Miles at a music competition in their shared town (in which Mark and himself were playing alongside
another band at the time), where after their performance he got talking to Henry and Miles about his band, Oscar
had said how their band was fairly new but he wasn’t happy with the sound and
direction the band was going. So it was to Henry
and Miles’ great happiness when they
were reunited (with both Oscar and Mark) at reading festival and Oscar gave them the news that his band
had disbanded but a few weeks earlier. Miles
and Henry then offered them a place
in their band after much discussion to which they agreed. He somewhat artistic and so has had a strong
influence on the band’s image in their logo and album covers. His fashion sense
is not as exuberant as Miles’ and Henry’s, in the sense that it is
somewhat more basic and colourful yet he has blended in well giving more of a
vibrancy to the band’s fashion image.
o
Drummer: Mark Vaughan is the last component of the Breaking
Blasphemy formula; he is the exceptional drummer of the band and despite
being the last introduced member of the band he has taken it onto himself and
has become an active member of the social circle through being an outgoing,
humorous and likable guy. Mark is a
person of average intelligence whom loves to socialise, whether it’s large
parties or small gatherings, in his free time, as well as listening to his
music, going to the gym, and practising his drums he also spends some time
creating some of his own scores or doing drum covers of songs and uploading
them to his online profile on popular music sharing social networks. Mark’s image is slightly ‘lighter’ than
some other band members in the sense that it is more casual; instead of wearing
a shirt, jumper or jacket to a gig he will wear a plain T-shirt and jeans. As a
drummer you aren’t as visible and it also takes a lot more energy so he says
“dress to drum” however he is also well known for his constant wearing of ‘beater’s (as he calls them; ‘wife beater
vests’ to everyone else) on social occasions, this is marketable and so plays
on this, which also shows he is laid back and confident.
